Pastor
Michelle believes that we are the church, and that when using buildings for worship, they should be spaces where all people are welcome. A native of Manteo, she is ordained in the United Methodist Church. When she’s not at church, Michelle can be found out and about in the community, growing food, sewing, or at a local coffee shop. She holds joint masters degrees in Religion and the Environment from Yale University, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Candler School of Theology at Emory University.
Office Manager
Tia joined the church staff in February of 2026. Originally from West Virginia, Tia and her family (husband Rich, children, and 4 cats) have made their home on the Outer Banks. Tia is formerly an attorney with the Public Defender Corporation with 12 years experience defending indigent clients in criminal court. she loves the theater and has a passion for acting, and hopes to join a local theater company. she also enjoys cooking, baking, reading fiction books, and listening to true crime podcasts.

Clerk of Session
David is the clerk of session at RIPC. He is an educator retired from Dare County Schools. He spent years as the track and field coach at Manteo High School. In his retirement he enjoys being active and loves getting outdoors.
